Gebakken Meeuw gunt ons een kijkje in het hiernamaals. Drie zwagers zijn verongelukt en ontmoeten elkaar weer in een soort tussenfase na de dood. En die plek blijkt er toch behoorlijk anders uit te zien dan wat ze zich ervan hadden voorgesteld. En dan is er nog de mysterieuze kastelein. Alle drie de zwagers bewandelen hun eigen pad, bijvoorbeeld in de manier waarop ze terugkijken op hun leven en hoe ze dat proberen te verwerken en elkaar daarin spiegelen. Het is een komisch stuk met vele diepere lagen erin en nodigt de kijker uit om zelf te gaan nadenken over wat ons te wachten staat na dit leven…. Het is een stuk gemaakt door de toneelgroep Het Volk.
